Chicago Star Media's hyperlocal community newspapers, Streeterville News and New Eastside News, will transition to a paid subscription model by the end of 2021.

For years, Streeterville News and New Eastside News have provided positive, comprehensive coverage of the neighborhoods they serve, gaining a loyal following of readers along the way. The move to a subscription format will further support Chicago Star Media's mission of publishing quality content that highlights the people, places and businesses of downtown Chicago, from stories about NICU doctors at Lurie Children's Hospital to the beloved Doorperson of the Month feature.

Subscriptions can be purchased online at Options include a monthly subscription for $5 per month, a one-year print subscription for $49, a two-year print subscription for $78, a three-year print subscription for $125 and a digital-only subscription that costs $27 and includes emailed access to online versions of each monthly print edition.

While the transition is underway, Streeterville and New Eastside residents will continue to receive the paper at their apartment building mailrooms via monthly drops, and Streeterville residents located along distribution mailing routes will periodically receive the paper directly via mail.
