Robert's Pizza & Dough Company is teaming up with whiskey enthusiast Michael Bloom to kick off the release of Rivalry Blend, a combination of whiskeys from eight Illinois and Wisconsin distilleries. The Streeterville restaurant, located at 65 N McClurg Court, will host a tasting event from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, to celebrate the blend's launch.

Guests at the tasting can enjoy the spirit straight or as a cocktail ingredient, along with bites from the restaurant's kitchen. Robert's Pizza & Dough Company owner Robert Garvey, Barrel and Bottle co-founder Dave Sweet and Bloom will be on hand to share their experiences and talk about upcoming projects.

Bloom, who has years of experience blending and barrel aging whiskey at home, developed The Rivalry Blend during the pandemic and plans to eventually create a blend combining spirits from all 50 U.S. states.
