Area health agencies and community groups are mounting an unprecedented effort to vaccinate seniors, the homebound and disabled.

The appointment-only event aims to administer 1,750 first-time doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to those 65 and older with underlying conditions.

Illinois residents 16 years of age and older with underlying conditions are now able to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in the state’s latest expansion of vaccination Phase 1B.
