The Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Chicago is bringing holiday cheer to beer lovers this December, according to recent announcements. Starting on Black Friday, Nov. 28, the brewery will be decorated with seasonal touches and a new retail holiday station, where visitors can shop and take pictures. The venue plans to host special events throughout the month that combine craft beer with festive activities. Multiple workshops and parties are scheduled to help guests celebrate the season, as outlined in materials from the brewery.

On Dec. 7, the brewery will offer Mini Christmas Tree Workshops, where people can decorate their own small trees while enjoying drinks. This hands-on event lets guests create a holiday decoration to take home. Later, on Dec. 17, the brewery is throwing an Ugly Sweater Party with live music and prizes for the best-dressed participants. People wearing their most creative holiday sweaters will compete for awards, with some winners receiving complimentary Guinness holiday sweaters. The event promises entertainment and special deals for those who dress up, according to the brewery's event calendar.

Food and drink offerings: Festive flights and merry pints

The brewery has created special holiday food and drink combinations for the season. Festive Flights feature three different cookies paired with specific Guinness beers. The selection includes a Gingerbread Pint Cutout cookie with Guinness Milk Stout, a Coca-Cola cookie with Cherry Cola Brown Ale, and a Molasses Crinkle cookie with Winter Warmer beer.
