Tony Award-winning musical ‘Jagged Little Pill’ is coming to Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre this April. The Broadway smash hit draws on motifs from Alanis Morrissette’s Grammy award-winning 1995 album of the same name.
‘Jagged Little Pill’ the musical tells the story of the wealthy Healy family and their crumbling dynamic. Each member of the family hides a dark secret, with themes of addiction, sexuality, morality, and identity permeating the plot.
As the family struggles to keep their issues hidden, they find themselves at odds not only with one another but with their community at large. As humorous as it is darkly introspective, ‘Jagged Little Pill’ wields the power of lyricism to explore the nuances of relationships, emotions, and interpersonal conflict.
