Brookfield Zoo unveils 2026 Roaring Nights headliners, including Nelly & Melissa Etheridge

Brookfield Zoo Chicago recently named its 2026 Roaring Nights headliners. The series, which is set to bring top acts to the suburbs, will also offer guests the opportunity to pair exciting animal encounters with live music.

Public tickets went on sale on Friday, Feb. 27, with Melissa Etheridge opening on Sunday, June 7. Blues Traveler and Nelly are two other top headliners that will follow later in July.

Star power meets wildlife adventure

Roaring Nights offers more than shows. Each ticket grants full-day zoo admission. According to the press release, it includes free main entrance parking and unlimited Ferris wheel and carousel rides.

“There are few places where you can feed a giraffe in the afternoon and sing along with a chart-topping artist under the stars that same evening,” said Andrea Rodgers, senior vice president of guest experience and operations at Brookfield Zoo Chicago, as reported in the press release. “Roaring Nights has an unmistakable energy as the sun sets—part concert, part conservation celebration—where thousands of fans come together to sing, connect, and support wildlife. This year, the series continues to grow, with an expanded lineup of artists and greater overall ticket value for guests.”

Melissa Etheridge hits the stage at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 7. According to the press release, the Grammy winner rose in the late 1980s with hits like “Bring Me Some Water” and “I’m the Only One.” She plans to sing tracks from her new album, “RISE!,” out Friday, March 27.

Blues Traveler plays Friday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. The band sells platinum with “Run-Around” and “Hook,” the press release states. 

Nelly will close on Saturday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. His 2000s smashes include “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma.” 

Tickets fuel conservation efforts

Prices begin at $60, with a $10 member discount. Early Access for Conservation passes cost $35. This pass offers priority seating, merchandise, food and drinks. Every ticket aids the Zoo’s Wildlife Conservation Fund for local and global animal care, as reported by the press release.
