Giordano Dance Chicago celebrates 60th anniversary April 1 at the Harris Theater.

Giordano Dance Chicago will be celebrating 60 fabulous years on April 1 at the Harris Theater with a grand anniversary gala. America’s original jazz dance company is an integral part of Chicago’s vibrant performing arts community. From its origins in founder Gus Giordano’s original school in Evanston, Ill., to its current incarnation as a world-class dance company, GDC boasts over a half-century of worldwide performances (28 countries, 47 states, more than 1,300 cities) with an imprint on the art form of jazz dance that is far-reaching and significant.

For the celebration gala, there will be two tickets choices, Gala + Performance ($300) includes VIP seating at the theater, a post show celebration on the Pritzker Stage with a lavish buffet and open bar AND a VIP Backstage Experience w/ Gala + Performance ($600) which includes a backstage view for the final moments of dancers' preparation, a champagne toast, dinner, VIP seating, and a post-show celebration on the Pritzker Stage with all the trimmings. Honorees are Ben Hodge and Mort Kessler.
