Giordano Dance Chicago presents "Life, Light, and Legacy" at the Harris Theater

Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC), renowned as America's original jazz dance company, is set to captivate audiences with their upcoming performance, "Life, Light, and Legacy," at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance on April 4 and 5. This event not only showcases the company's dynamic artistry but also honors Artistic Director Nan Giordano's 40-year tenure and commemorates the life of her late son, Keenan Giordano Casey.

Attendees can anticipate an evening where each performance embodies the essence of life's beauty and the enduring brilliance of light. The program promises to be a multi-layered display of art and entertainment that will include the following.

• Al Blackstone, Resident Choreographer, presents a World Premiere featuring an original music score by percussionist Stahv Danker.
• 333, a stunning solo by Nan Giordano and Cesar G. Salinas, performed by Erina Ueda (Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch 2024).
• SOARING, a special tribute for Keenan Giordano Casey's life that's created by Nan Giordano, Cesar G. Salinas and the company.

• Red & Black by Ray Leeper
• Groove, in formed by Peter Chu
• Taal by Nan Giordano
