Chicago’s beloved Maggie Daley Park Ice Skating Ribbon will wrap up its 2025 winter season on Sunday, March 9. Skaters still have time to enjoy the unique, winding rink before it closes, with daily sessions running seven days a week.
The skating ribbon operates in four timeslots:
11:00 am – 1:00 pm
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
8:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
Pricing varies based on the day and whether skaters bring their own equipment. Monday through Thursday, skating is free for those who bring their own skates, while rental skates cost $17 online and $19 at the door.
On Fridays, weekends, and holidays, skaters with their own skates can enjoy the 11:00 a.m. session for free, while later sessions cost $5 plus tax. Skate rentals during these peak times are priced at $21 online and $23 for walk-up purchases.
Reserve a skating timeslot on Maggie Daley’s website.
