Lyric Opera of Chicago will host live performances of two Italian works at the Lyric Opera House for the company's 67th season, which launches this fall.
Audiences will enjoy a new production of Verdi's Macbeth by Sir David McVicar from Sept. 17-Oct. 9, and a new-to-Chicago show, Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love by Daniel Slater, premieres Sept. 26 and runs through Oct. 8. Both pieces will be conducted by Maestro Enrique Mazzola, who is slated to begin his first season as Lyric's music director.

Additionally, through the generosity of an anonymous donor gift, the theater has improved accessibility for patrons by widening aisles and improving sightlines, among other measures.
