The Lodge & She-Nannigans

Why don't we do it in the road? Besides seating customers outdoors, The Lodge and She-Nannigans occasionally show games on a video truck in the street.

Despite the statewide, COVID-19, capacity-diminishing burdens, many Chicago bars and restaurants are still feeling football. Game day destinations in and around downtown are keeping traditions alive by offering multiple televisions, food specials, drink deals, and, in at least one case, gridiron alfresco.

Carson’s is the ticket for fans who want fine dining and upbeat music with their football. The venue broadcasts games throughout the day on at least four of its 65-inch screens. The kitchen also cooks up robust carryout meals for families looking to enjoy the game at home. Two "Heat & Eat" BBQ Family Feasts are available for $49. The first option includes two full slabs of Carson's BBQ Baby Back Ribs, one pint of Signature BBQ Sauce, one pint of award-winning cole slaw, and one tray of famous au gratin potatoes. Option number two comes with a full slab of Carson’s BBQ Baby Back Ribs and two half BBQ chickens.

16 W. Division | (312) 642-2344 | she-nannigans.com

These classic Chicago venues don’t mess around when it comes to having fun. Since Division St. is closed to through-traffic between Dearborn and State every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, The Lodge and She-Nannigans will be doing it in the road from 11am-11pm until November 1st. Besides seating customers outdoors, they occasionally broadcast games on the sides of a giant video truck in the middle of the street. Additionally, the Lodge has six TVs in the building windows, so customers can view the games and hear the sound from their outdoor tables, and She-nannigans has 20 TVs inside with sound. Food is available from Downtown Dogs, and contactless ordering, payment, and free delivery are available.

Streeter’s Tavern

Sweetwater positions 24 TVs throughout the dining room and bar to make sure that there is not a bad seat in the house. Throw in an excellent weekend brunch and it’s easy to see how the New Eastside venue has been a neighborhood favorite for years. A state-of-the-art audio system broadcasts sound for big games and music for the rest of the time.

This Riverwalk venue stays true to its mission of tropically-themed escapism by having no TVs and, therefore, no football. But for the people who do not have a specific game to watch on Sunday, they offer $2 mimosas on a floating Tiki bar.
