PAWS Chicago Don't Forget Me event runs 4.16-4.24

PAWS Chicago, the city's largest no-kill humane organization will waive adoption fees through Saturday, April 24, with the virtual adoption event “Don’t Forget Me.”

The virtual event is an incentive to get dogs and cats noticed by potential adoptive parents, explained Julie Poukatch, PAWS media and community relations manager.

Poukatch said although many dogs and cats have been adopted virtually, many still go unnoticed due to medical needs or other requirements that may require more attention and assistance.

“We hope the Don’t Forget Me adoption event will inspire Chicagoans to learn more about the pets that have been with us the longest and consider welcoming an overlooked dog or cat into their home,” said Poukatch.

Here are a few PAWS Chicago pets awaiting their forever home:

Become a foster parent

PAWS is also seeking special foster homes that can give these animals a temporary break from the adoption center. The foster program is a great way to get to know a potential pet

with the support of the PAWS team before making the commitment to adopt.
