The City of Chicago and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), welcome back one of the city’s favorite summertime festivals, Taste of Chicago, July 8-10 to Grant Park. See ALL details and music schedules below.
Taste of Chicago, presented by John Deere, brings a bite-sized taste to Grant Park and will feature:
- 30 food vendors, along with a beer hall, wine tent, cocktail lounge
- New this year – No Taste food tickets, all vendors accept credit or cash; plus
- Free admission to all music performances on three stages over three days
- Chicago SummerDance lessons, kicking off with four dance styles born in Chicago
- “John Deere X Chicago Experience” highlighting the company’s work in agriculture, construction, and now Chicago. Featuring John Deere 360° Theatre • Illinois Augmented Reality • Community Tables and Seating Area • 245G Excavator Pizza Cutter Photo Op (Chicago’s largest pizza cutter!) • 8R Tractor Display
- Eli’s Cheesecake and Taste of Chicago celebrate their birthdays with a 1,000 lb birthday cheesecake! Special presentation of the cake with Chicago’s own Bonnie Hunt and live performances by Teatro ZinZanni and more; Sat., July 9, 12-1 pm.
- NBC Chicago Family Village offering interactive family activities
- Chicago Children’s Theatre & The Q Brothers special family show and more
Taste of Chicago in Grant Park follows the success of three Taste neighborhood events this past June that brought the city’s culinary excellence to Austin, Pullman and Little Village.

MUSIC AND DANCE LINEUP: Each evening Taste of Chicago presents crowd-pleasing concerts including Nelly, Local H, Girl K, Drive-By Truckers and more. Chicago Made, a DCASE initiative that supports local talent, presents top emerging artists as openers on the Taste Main Stage. Free admission to all concerts this year.
