Central Perk at "The Friends Experience"

Among the sights at “The Friends Experience,” which opens at The Shops at North Bridge in October, is a recreation of Central Perk.

Chicago Friends fans can enjoy a hands-on look at their beloved show this fall when an interactive experience based on the hit television series opens in the Magnificent Mile.

The Friends Experience, created by Superfly X, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Television Group, was originally launched as a celebration of the NBC sitcom's 25th-year anniversary, according to the Magnificent Mile Association.

"The One in Chicago" is scheduled to run from Oct. 1 through Jan. 3 at The Shops at North Bridge, 540 N. Michigan Ave.

The two-story exhibit features a dozen rooms with spaces and items from the show, including Joey and Chandler's apartment, Central Perk, Rachel and Monica's purple door and the fountain. Visitors are encouraged to learn about the history of Friends and make memories by recreating their favorite moments from the series.

Guests can place reservations for a timed visit online by clicking on this. Tickets cost $35 plus taxes and fees, and the experience includes a visit to a special Friends-themed retail store carrying exclusive products that will also be available to non-ticketed guests.

“We hope The Friends Experience will bring a bit of joy to Chicagoans in these difficult times,” Superfly X founder and CEO Jonathan Mayers said in a news release. “Our team has worked diligently to ensure that the experience provides fans of the show with a fun yet safe environment while visiting."

Safety measures such as social distancing and mask requirements will be in place during guests' visit.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit My Block, My Hood, My City, a Chicago organization that provides opportunities for underprivileged youth.
