The inaugural Magnificent Mile Art Festival drew rave reviews as it debuted June 22/23 on the plaza in front of the John Hancock Center. Presented by Amdur Productions, the event featured over 60 juried artists from around the world with exciting opportunities for all who attended.

Activations included drawing on a mural presented by NASCAR; free, personalized bobbleheads from State Farm; popsicles from The 900 Shops and so much more. Besides artwork and jewelry, there was also marbling demonstrations by Shibumi Silks.

Artists were happy to share their stories with attendees. Artist Robert Lotton Lagestee brought glass creations that he learned how to make at his grandfather's knee as a 3rd generation member of the renowned Lotton glass family. Decades ago, his family had a shop right across the street at 900 N. Michigan.
