The Joffrey Ballet is extending its 69th season with the return of Christopher Wheeldon's acclaimed production of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Originally scheduled to close on June 15, the run has been extended to June 22, marking the first time in the Company's history that a production has been extended, with 14 performances across three weekends at the historic Lyric Opera House.

This enchanting, family-friendly ballet transports audiences into the fantastical world of Lewis Carroll’s beloved tale, reimagined through the lens of two-time Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. Set to Joby Talbot’s hallucinatory sound world of sweeping melodies and ticking clocks, the production features vibrant stagecraft and puppetry by Tony Award-winning designer Bob Crowley, bringing Wonderland to life with a modern twist.

Audiences will journey with Alice as she encounters iconic characters such as the high-strung Queen of Hearts, the entrancing Caterpillar and the tap-dancing Mad Hatter. Through a seamless fusion of humor, whimsy, and fantasy, Wheeldon makes Wonderland wonderfully real in this audience-favorite dance adventure.
As the first American company to bring Wheeldon’s whimsical Wonderland to life, The Joffrey Ballet continues to uphold its commitment to presenting innovative and captivating performances. Tickets are available now at joffrey.org.
