Chicago’s hottest new concert hall The Salt Shed is debuting its first music festival this fall, dubbed “Warm Love Cool Dreams”. The two-day showcase will take place at the salt factory turned music venue from Saturday, September 28 through Sunday, September 29.
Described as a “multi-genre festival” by host Empty Bottle Presents, Warm Love Cool Dreams will feature a range of cutting-edge musical performances across its weekend-long run.
Day one of the fest will tap into the “Warm Love” theme, featuring some of alt-rock’s brightest acts, including Chicago natives The Jesus Lizard, as well as bands Sextile and Provoker. The second day of the fest dives into “Cool Dreams” with a selection of dance, R&B, and reggae-inspired acts including Sister Nancy, Kelela and Floating Points.
Warm Love Cool Dreams will stray from the typical music fest layout as bands will play in succession, meaning no overlapping sets. Music lovers will enjoy an immersive experience and get to take in each individual performance. With the recent departure of Riot Fest, Salt Shed has seized a prime opportunity to stake its claim in the festival sphere and fill a void in the Chicago live music landscape.
One-day tickets are now on sale starting at $50 each and weekend passes are available starting at $90 each. Tickets can be purchased through the “Warm Love Cool Dreams” linktree.
