Due to popular demand, The Chicago Theatre announced two additional showtimes for A-list comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who are coming to Chicago on their “Restless Leg Tour” in May 2023. Tickets are now on sale to the general public for Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21.

Fey and Poehler earned their claim to fame through their roles as cast members on Saturday Night Live. Lesser-known, the pair met and studied improv together at a Chicago improv theater before landing roles in the city’s very own Second City comedy company in the 1990s. Outside of many separate accomplishments in film and television, the dynamic duo have gone on to wow audiences with various collaborations like the feature films Mean Girls, Sisters, Baby Mama, and Wine Country.

The well-known actresses will kick off the weekend’s showtimes at 8 p.m. on Saturday, followed by two shows on Sunday at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Pre-sale tickets for the first and last show have already sold out within a few minutes of the announcement.

Fey reported in an Instagram video that true to their improv backgrounds the pair don’t have exact plans for what the show will entail, just that it will include comedy, conversation, and maybe a little dancing.

Comedy fans still wanting to snag tickets for the Sunday afternoon showtime should head to the website and reserve a spot before it's too late. Stay tuned to The Chicago Theatre’s Instagram page for updates on a possible addition to showtimes.
