Hosted by the Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA), Re-ACTIVATE will provide an update on “the projects, programs and people who have kept the Loop going” while also offering “a few surprises in store that you won't want to miss,” according to a message delivered to CLA members.

Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, Windy City Live host Val Warner and Chicago street artist Keith Smith (aka Afrokilla) are among the guests scheduled to participate.

The keynote presenter will be Toni Griffin, Harvard professor, Just City Lab director and founder and principal of urbanAC, Urban American City, a New York planning and design management practice. She will discuss “strategies for rebuilding a vibrant, healthy, and inclusive Loop.”

Other guests include Chicago Loop Alliance President and CEO Michael Edwards, who will describe some of the organization’s plans for 2021.

Free and open to the public, the event is described as “an opportunity for the entire Loop community to come together, which is more important now than ever.” It begins at 5 p.m. Dec. 3. To register, click here.
