Misericordia’s ‘Artist in All’ show comes to the Art Institute May 20. 

The Artist in All fundraiser presented by Misericordia returns Tuesday, May 20 to the Art Institute. The show will feature artwork created by talented Misericordia resident artists with assistance of dedicated staff and volunteers.

Through the Artist In All, Misericordia Siblings (SIBS) program, residents’ artwork will be showcased and shared in a world-class venue that will allow them to reach out to the Chicago community and feel the same exhilaration all artists experience when their work is admired and sought by others.

Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged. By serving society’s most vulnerable citizens, Misericordia also serves the families who want the best for them yet cannot provide it at home.

Through a spectrum of residential options on its 37-acre Chicago campus and in the community and with a wide variety of programs, Misericordia currently serves more than 600 children and adults residentially, from diverse racial, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Twenty percent of its residents either come from poverty or have no families and are wards of the State. 

Misericordia is a Catholic Charity of the Archdiocese of Chicago with the mission of providing a quality of life for its residents. Since 1996, this Artist in All event has raised more than $11 million to benefit Misericordia’s programs.
