“It's incredible to think that more than 40 years have passed," says Amy, who discovered her passion for art at just five years old during her very first painting class. She vividly remembers exhibiting her work at a local art show in her hometown. "Someone offered me $25 for one of my paintings, but I just couldn't part with it," she recalls with a smile. "The thrill of showcasing my art and realizing that someone wanted to buy it sparked something in me,” she added. “That moment planted the seed for Amdur Productions. I wanted other artists to experience that same excitement.”

Amdur Productions 2025 information.

Since founding Amdur Productions in 1983, Amy and her team have curated and produced more than 1000 festivals and events, many earning top industry awards and recognition. "We take great pride in our shows," she says. "I'm deeply grateful for my incredible staff and the thousands of artists who have trusted us to showcase their work. The unwavering support from our community partners and the art-loving public who return year after year makes all of this possible. We wouldn’t be celebrating 42 years without them!"

This year, Amdur Productions will host 27 art festivals and events, bringing together talented juried artists from near and far. Visitors can explore and purchase artwork across a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood, metal, leather and more. As always, the festivals will be vibrant celebrations of art and creativity, featuring live music, delicious food vendors, artist demonstrations, booth chats, selfie stations and interactive activities for kids. Many events will also offer “Start to Paint” on-site painting classes, while the popular “Kids Art Stop” will give young art enthusiasts the chance to stop into artists’ booths and discover the magic behind the creative process.

Amdur Productions will continue its partnership with the Chicago Furniture Bank, a non-profit that helps furnish homes for individuals transitioning from homelessness. Festival attendees are encouraged to donate gently used wall art at Chicagoland events, which will be distributed to those moving into permanent housing.

“This marks our fifth year collaborating with the Chicago Furniture Bank, and we’re excited to support their mission once again,” said Amy.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to kick off our 42nd season!” said Amy. “Beloved events like the Gold Coast Art Fair, Evanston Art & Big Fork Festival, Port Clinton Art Festival and Art at the Glen are returning, along with exciting new additions like Arts on Sheridan in Highland Park, Hinsdale’s Fourth for All: Family Festival & Art Fair and the Southport Art Fest. The artists are eager to get started, and so are we!”
