Chance the Rapper celebrates collab with WNDR Museum at blow-out opening party

Celebrated global hip-hop artist Chance the Rapper announced the launch of The Chance Store, a special retail pop-up at WNDR Museum Chicago, in celebration of his sold-out Acid Rap Ten Year Anniversary Show at the United Center on August 19. A VIP Party took place Wednesday night, Aug. 16, at the Museum with the legend himself.

The place was packed outside and inside with Chance fans who, with the proper wristband, could make their way upstairs to a VIP party. There, a specialty drink was being served along with Harold's (fried) Chicken wings, fries and ice cream. The room was split into two sides....one was the VVIP party where Chance hung out. He played Bucket Ball with friends, enjoyed a great DJ and mingled. Eventually, he made his way to the VIP section where he smiled for selfies and danced the night away with fans.

Before the party, attendees could enjoy the new activiations in The WNDR Museum, which has been completely redone for this new collaboration. The new interactive exhibits have been transformed into “The Acid Rap Experience” in celebration of the rapper's 10th anniversary album. I don't want to give anything away here but the exhibit is spectacular and will run through Sunday, August 20.

Guests could also shop in the brand new The Chance Store (running now through 20) which features a limited supply of exclusive merchandise, apparel and accessories including the 10^th anniversary edition of the Acid Rap album on vinyl and CD, a collaboration can with Lyrical Lemonade and Chance’s iconic “3” hats in Acid Rap colorways.

“Collaborating with WNDR Museum in celebration of Acid Rap’s 10-year anniversary is like blending creativity and curiosity in the most colorful and inspiring way,” states Chance the Rapper. “It’s great to physically see The Chance Store and to build out the festivities for the sold-out show at the United Center!”

Guests to The Chance Store on Friday, August 18, will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets to Chance’s sold-out Acid Rap Ten Year Anniversary Show at the United Center, taking place Saturday, August 19. Adding to the week's excitement, Chicago's Willis Tower will also illuminate pink and purple hues to celebrate Acid Rap on Friday, August 18 beginning at sunset.

Friday, August 18: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Saturday, August 19: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Sunday, August 20: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

The Chance Store is open to the public free of charge. “The Acid Rap Experience” is included with any ticket to WNDR Museum Chicago. Tickets start at $32 and must be purchased in advance at wndrchicago.com. Children’s tickets are available for ages 12 and under starting at $22. Children under ages two and under receive free admission.

Alongside his hometown of Chicago, Chance is bringing the Acid Rap 10 Year Anniversary Show to New York’s Barclays Center on August 26 and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on September 21.
