Amdur Productions will be presenting 20 great art festivals this year, including the Gold Coast Art Fair in Grant Park, June 17/18.

Amdur Productions, Inc., the award-winning event and art festival production company, announces its 2023 season that is packed with great events that are all free and open to the public.  Founded by Amy Amdur 40 years ago and known nation-wide for producing many of the Midwest’s most respected and popular juried art festivals, Amdur Productions will be hosting twenty shows in 2023, starting in May and continuing through September.

These 20 festivals will feature juried artists from near and far. They will be showcasing and selling art in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood, metal, leather and more. As in year’s past, the fests will feature live music, food vendors, artist demonstrations, booth chats, selfie stations, interactive activities for kids and more. Several of the fests will also offer “Start to Paint,” which are on-site painting classes! And, new for 2023, Amdur is launching the “Kids Art Stop,” where some artists will be inviting children to stop at their booths to learn more about the art making process.

In addition, Amdur Productions is continuing its partnership with the Chicago Furniture Bank, a non-profit organization that furnishes housing for those who have been homeless. The public is invited to bring their gently used wall art to the Chicagoland festivals, which will then be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank for distribution to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Chicago Furniture Bank is also the recipient of Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project, where artists place a green ribbon on one of their pieces. If the piece sells, then the artist donates 10% of the sale back to the charity.

For those who aren’t able to attend a festival or who wish to preview an artist’s work in advance, the Amdur Productions’ website (www.AmdurProductions.com) features the participating artists’ names and photos of their work. Several of the artists are also featured on Amdur’s Art Zipper website (www.ArtZipper.com) where the public can view even more pieces online, read artists’ bios, and purchase pieces at their convenience.

“We are beyond excited to be launching our 40th season,” said Amdur. “Favorites like the Gold Coast Art Fair, the Evanston Art & Big Fork Festival, and the Port Clinton Art Festival are back, and we also have some new ones including the Deerfield Art Festival and the Wilmette Art Fair,” she continued. “The artists can’t wait for the season to begin, and neither can we!”
