Hosts with the most at Gibson's for St. Patrick's Day party- Pam Netzky, Ashley Netzky, Marko Iglendza and Neal Zucker.
St. Patrick’s Day is now a distant memory but the outstanding celebrations around town will live on in the memories of attendees for years to come! Gibson’s Steakhouse, as always, was filled with friends for the annual party on March 14 hosted by Chicago luminaries Neal Zucker, Marko Iglendza and Pam and Ashley Netzky. Between the four of them, they have a guest list that would rival Martha Stewart’s!

The second floor of Gibson’s was packed to the brim with partygoers, reveling in a sea of green. The space was transformed into an Irish wonderland—green balloons blanketed the ceiling, glowing shamrock necklaces lit up the night and charming table centerpieces set the festive mood. Of course, no celebration is complete without a feast, and Gibson’s delivered in spades! The buffet was overflowing with cheeseburgers, corned beef and cabbage, mini hot dogs, fish sandwiches, prime rib sliders, fresh veggies for the health-conscious guests and so much more.

On the actual St. Patrick’s Day, the celebrations continued at RL restaurant, where the multi-talented and much loved Thomas O’Gorman—fine art painter, author, cook, columnist and friend—hosted an extraordinary luncheon. The room was packed, with guests still lining up in hopes of getting a table despite reservations being completely booked. The energy in the air was contagious, filled with laughter and camaraderie.

O’Gorman, ever the gracious host, gifted RL’s esteemed Chef Ryan Pitts with one of his coveted artworks and presented all his guests (Mark O’Malley and Patricia Treacy O’Malley plus this author and Chuck Jordan) with beautifully designed Irish-inspired pocket squares. Adding a touch of elegance, he uncorked a rare bottle of rosé wine—signed and gifted to him by none other than Salvatore Ferragamo.

As if the event needed more magic, world-renowned violinist Patricia Treacy O’Malley, who has performed at Carnegie Hall, the White House and other prestigious venues worldwide, took center stage.
Rising from her seat, she captivated the crowd with a spontaneous and breathtaking performance. Phones came out, applause erupted and the atmosphere became even more electric. As if on cue, the Shannon Rovers marched in following her performance, raising the energy even higher for another thrilling round of Irish revelry.

For those lucky enough to attend the RL luncheon and the Gibson’s party, these events will be etched in their hearts forever. A huge thank you to Thomas, Neal, Marko, Pam and Ashley for orchestrating celebrations that truly make this city shine! Until next year, Chicago—may the luck of the Irish always be with you!
