"If It's Art, It's Here" campaign set to launch across Chicago.
Chicago is putting its world-class arts and culture scene in the spotlight with the launch of a new campaign, If It’s Art, It’s Here, by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) in partnership with Choose Chicago. The campaign aims to highlight the richness of creative offerings across all 77 neighborhoods, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore music, theater, dance, comedy, architecture, museums, public art, and more.
Chicago launches "If It's Art, It's Here" campaign to spotlight the city's art and cultural scenes.
A key feature of the campaign is the new website hub, ChiArtsandCulture.com, which allows users to access a curated cultural calendar, discover signature events and iconic institutions, and create personalized itineraries to explore Chicago’s neighborhoods through an arts and culture lens.
According to a press release, DCASE Commissioner Kenya Merritt shared, “Chicago’s arts and culture are the heartbeat of our city. It reflects our history, celebrates our diversity and fuels our future. With the launch of If It’s Art, It’s Here, we are reminding residents and tourists that every neighborhood in Chicago is alive with creativity and expression. Whether it’s music, theater, dance, or public art, this campaign invites everyone to experience the vibrancy that makes Chicago a world-class cultural destination.”

Kristen Reynolds, President and CEO of Choose Chicago, emphasized the city’s appeal to visitors in a DCASE press release. “Visitors flock to Chicago year-round to experience our world-class museums, music venues, galleries, and theatre companies. If It’s Art, It’s Here will spotlight the city’s rich cultural calendar and connect millions of visitors with the artists, events, and experiences that define Chicago.”
Chicago is home to over 200 theater companies, 50 museums, 175 dance organizations and 200 music venues across its neighborhoods. In 2024, 41% of visitors came to the city specifically for cultural experiences, according to DCASE. The campaign arrives at a critical moment, as attendance at cultural and performance venues continues to recover from pandemic-related declines.
To bring the city’s creativity to the public eye, the campaign will feature a variety of advertising, including bus shelters, streaming platforms, social media, national digital markets and prominent placements at O’Hare International Airport. The campaign aligns with Choose Chicago’s broader Never Done. Never Outdone. initiative, showcasing a city that is continually evolving, innovative and proud of its cultural vibrancy.
Running through the end of 2025, If It’s Art, It’s Here encourages everyone to experience the diversity, creativity and energy that define Chicago. Residents and visitors can explore the full array of performances, exhibitions, and cultural events at ChiArtsandCulture.com.
