Oz Park’s Dorothy’s Playlot in Lincoln Park reopened after a $1.25 million renovation, featuring new amenities like bouncy bridges, twisty slides and ADA-accessible ramps.

The project, led by the Oz Park Advisory Council, the Ishbia Family Foundation, and local stakeholders, aimed to create a modern, inclusive playground while maintaining the spirit of the original 1988 playlot.

Efforts included eradicating a significant underground rat colony. The playlot is part of Oz Park, themed around L. Frank Baum’s "The Wizard of Oz."

State Representative Margaret Croke and Alderman Timmy Knudsen (43rd Ward) each helped provide funding for the project.
