Stop by Darvin Furniture & Mattress on Sunday, Aug. 17 for a blood drive in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois.

Darvin Furniture & Mattress is rallying the Chicagoland community to combat a critical blood shortage by hosting a blood drive on Sunday, August 17, 2025. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Darvin's Orland Park showroom, located at 15400 La Grange Road. In partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois, the drive aims to replenish the region's blood supply, which has reached dangerously low levels .

All donors will be entered into a raffle to win prizes, including gift cards to BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse and Seasons 52, as well as a Fogo de Chao gift bag. Winners do not need to be present to claim their prizes.

Darvin Furniture & Mattress, a 100% employee-owned company with over 105 years of history in the region, is committed to supporting the communities it serves.

President Will Harris emphasized the company's dedication, stating, "At Darvin, we are employee-owned and we live in the communities we serve. So, when we heard about the critical blood shortages in the Chicagoland area, we wanted to try to do something more to help out" .

Blood donations will be collected in Versiti's mobile unit, stationed outside the main entrance of the Darvin showroom. To schedule a donation appointment, visit Darvin.com.
