Honorees include Grant DePorter, owner of the iconic Harry Caray's Restaurant Group, along with the Hunt Family, who will be recognized through the Hunt Family Compassionate Care Award.
The annual dinner is one of the organization’s most meaningful fundraising events, celebrating the people and partnerships that help sustain its life-changing programs. Guests can expect a memorable evening filled with community spirit, recognition, and powerful stories about the impact of compassionate support for those navigating cancer.
Founded in honor of beloved comedian Gilda Radner, Gilda’s Club Chicago opened its doors on Valentine’s Day in 1998. Since then, it has provided free support to more than 70,000 members through support groups, healthy lifestyle activities, educational workshops, and social programs. These services are offered to anyone affected by cancer—including patients, families, and caregivers—and are available at the organization’s clubhouse on North Wells Street as well as partner hospital locations across the region.
As one of Chicago’s most heartfelt charitable gatherings, the Annual Awards Dinner highlights the strength of community and the importance of emotional support alongside medical care. Proceeds from the evening help ensure that Gilda’s Club Chicago can continue providing its programs completely free of charge to everyone who needs them.
