In the heart of Lincoln Park, Chicago, excitement buzzes as the Green City Market gears up for a special occasion: the celebration of its 25th Anniversary and the launch of the outdoor season. On Saturday, April 6, at 9:00 am CT, Green City Market (GCM) will hold an Opening Day Ceremony at its Lincoln Park location, 1817 N. Clark, in celebration of its anniversary and early opening of its outdoor farmers' market season.

The ceremony will begin with remarks from Mandy Moody, the Executive Director of Green City Market, followed by 43rd Ward Alderman Timmy Knudsen and Chef Sarah Stegner. They will share insights into the market's journey and its impact on the community.

Attendees will also be treated to a cake-cutting ceremony and a culinary demonstration by Chef Sarah Stegner and Executive Chef Holly Willoughby and an awards presentation. Free food samples from selected vendors will add to the celebration.

The Green City Market, that stands as a testament to the power of local food and community engagement, is ready to embark on another season of growth and sustainability.
