Ho Ho Hotspots: Where to find Santa across Chicagoland

Tis' the season to search out that special spot to make a wish to Santa, but where to go? This year, there are so many options that it makes you wonder how Santa can be in so many places at one time! But we, here at Chicago Star, managed to track him down just for you! Check out these options; some traditional spots, but also some brand-new locations that will make you go Ho! Ho! Ho! Take a look!   

Macy's on State Street

• Details: Santa is ready to meet kids at Macy's Santaland on the 5th floor. Travel through a festive holiday setup to reach him. Macy's also offers the option of visiting a Black Santa, available Fridays from 2 PM to 7 PM and weekends from 12 PM to 7 PM. Reservations are encouraged.
• Dates: Daily through December 24.

Lincoln Park Zoo (ZooLights)

• Details: Santa will be at the Lincoln Park Zoo during ZooLights. Visitors can take pictures with him at the Pepper Family Wildlife Center. Sensory-friendly nights are available for children needing quieter environments.
• Dates: November 17 to December 23.

900 North Michigan Shops

• Details: Enjoy a magical setting with Santa in a vintage sleigh surrounded by twinkling lights. Reservations are required for a visit.
• Dates: November 19 to December 24.

Gallagher Way

• Details: Santa's Winterland Workshop will feature photos with Santa each weekend. Pet-friendly sessions are also available.
• Dates: Thursdays through Sundays, December 6–22.

Navy Pier – Light Up the Lake

• Details: A part of the immersive "Light Up the Lake" winter event, Santa will be available for photos. The event includes light sculptures, an ice-skating rink, and more.

Chicago Botanic Garden - Lightscape

• Description: Santa appears during this immersive light experience, which features glowing pathways and holiday music.

Morton Arboretum - Illumination

• Description: Santa makes appearances during this holiday light show, blending nature and technology.

Oakbrook Center

• Description: Santa hosts photo sessions at this upscale shopping destination with seasonal decorations.

Santa Claus Sleigh Ride Cruises
