The Chicago Park District celebrates Easter with numerous bunny events. Most events feature arts and crafts, egg hunts, treats, and prizes. Pre-register today as events are filling up fast! Many programs are free or have nominal entrance fees.
Events have started and run through Saturday, April 8, so hop on over to parks across Chicago!

Wednesday, March 29
Welles (Gideon) Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave.
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Admission: $10
Join the Bunny and hop on over to Welles Park for its annual egg hunt! Kids will hunt for the colorful eggs hidden across the gym and will have the opportunity to do a craft, get their face painted and even pose with the Bunny. Make sure to bring your own basket. Friday, March 31
Flashlight Egg Hunt at Sheridan
Sheridan (Philip Henry) Park, 910 S. Aberdeen St.
8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Ages: 3-12
Admission: $2
Children ages 3-12 years are invited to stop by and join the fun at the egg hunt with flashlights or cell phones. The fun starts in the evening so bring along a parent or chaperone. The fee is $2 per child participant. Please wear appropriate gear for the weather. Register here.
Saturday, April 1
Bunny Hop and Fun Run at Durkin
Durkin (Martin) Park, 8445 S. Kolin Ave.
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages: 3-12
Admission: $5
Activities include a one-mile fun run, bunny hop, and a photo with the Bunny! The bunny hop is for ages 3-5 and will take place inside Durkin Park's Gym with the entrance located in the parking lot at door #8. The fun run is for ages 6+ which will take place outside. There will be three top runners for each age group. After the children participate in the run, they can head inside to take a picture with the bunny. Pre-registration is required here.

Hop on over to Galewood Park for a colorful egg hunt! Enjoy crafts, games, and hunting for eggs in the field. Don't forget to bring a camera to capture a photo with the Bunny! First 60 to register in advance will receive a free basket. The event is in partnership with Life Changing Community Outreach. Register here!

Gather your kiddos and join in for fun & games and an annual egg-exciting egg hunt at Hollywood Park! The colorful egg hunt is divided into age groups. Everyone is encouraged to bring a canned good for the neighborhood “Little Free Pantry”.

Berger Park will host its annual Mad Hatter event, complete with an egg hunt, crafts, dancing, face painting and a meet & greet with a special bunny. Advanced registration is required. Prior the event, please stop by the office and select one of three time slots. Each participant must bring their own bag or basket to collect their prizes and activities. Silly and unusual hats are encouraged! The event is held in cooperation with the Berger Park Advisory Council.
