Chicago’s skyline is iconic, but for the last three years, it’s the bursts of color over Lake Michigan that have officially been named the best in the nation. Navy Pier is once again in the running for USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and the race is on to secure the title of "Best Place to See Fireworks" for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year. Voting ends May 11- you can vote every day.
The Defending Champion
Since 2023, Navy Pier has held the top spot, beating out famous displays from coast to coast. The nomination isn't just about the pyrotechnics themselves; it’s about the atmosphere. With the Centennial Wheel spinning in the background and the reflection of the show shimmering off Lake Michigan, the Pier offers a viewing experience that is uniquely Chicago.
Why Your Vote Matters
This year’s contest is particularly high-stakes. Winning for a fourth year would solidify Navy Pier’s reputation as a premier global destination for summer entertainment. It’s a point of civic pride for Chicagoans and a major draw for the millions of tourists who visit the city each summer.

A Historic Summer Ahead

The highlight of the season will be the July 4th display, which promises to be the "largest and longest" in the Pier's history to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
The winners of the 10Best contest will be announced on May 20. Until then, Chicagoans are encouraged to keep clicking and help ensure the "Best Place to See Fireworks" stays right here at home.
