Chicago’s historic Auditorium Theatre will host a spectacular musical celebration of one of the most beloved films of all time when The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, In Concert arrives March 13–14.
Presented in honor of the 25th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring, this extraordinary event pairs Peter Jackson’s epic motion picture with an on-stage performance of Howard Shore’s Academy Award–winning score. Audiences will watch the film projected beneath a massive 60-foot screen while a 238-piece orchestra, chorus and soloists perform the score live, creating an immersive experience that blends cinema and concert in one unforgettable evening.
The production is part of a globally acclaimed concert series presented by CAMI Music, which has toured major cities around the world and delighted fans for more than 15 years with sold-out performances. After an eight-year hiatus from the Chicago area following shows at the Ravinia Festival, the series returns to the city’s iconic venue with this special anniversary engagement.

Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Auditorium Theatre, located at 50 East Ida B. Wells Drive in Chicago’s Loop district.
