Music of the Baroque will host its annual black-tie gala, "A Musical Feast," on Saturday, October 21, at the Fairmont Chicago. This year they will be honoring two longtime MOB friends: acclaimed sculptor Richard Hunt and arts advocate Joan Harris. The inaugural Music of the Baroque Award will be presented to Joan Harris in celebration of the 20th anniversary of MOB performing at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.

Richard Hunt has been commissioned by Music of the Baroque, supported by Sipi Metals Corp., to create the sculpted award which will be presented biennially to individuals who have had a significant impact on Music of the Baroque or the wider world of baroque music performance.
Once again, the gala will begin in spectacular style with its gala concert. Principal guest conductor, Nicholas Kraemer, will conduct MOB’s chorus, orchestra, and featured soloists in a concert of Baroque favorites.
Attendees will enjoy champagne on arrival, the gala concert, and a cocktail reception followed by a three-course meal and dancing afterward to the MixTape Band. A raffle will include trips to different parts of the United States and catered dinner parties by Blue Plate. Click here to purchase raffle tickets.
This is Music of the Baroque’s only fundraising event of the season. Proceeds will benefit every aspect of the organization, from concerts to its Strong Voices arts education program in six Chicago public high schools.
