Summer 2025 Highlights at Navy Pier
Live On The Lake!
From May 23 to September 1, Navy Pier’s Live On The Lake! returns as Chicago’s premier free weekend music series. Enjoy performances from top local bands, regional favorites, and national acts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with bonus shows on Memorial Day and Labor Day Mondays. The outdoor Beer Garden becomes the stage for genres ranging from soul and blues to reggae, rock, country, Latin, and funk-making it a must-visit for music lovers seeking live music in Chicago and lakefront concerts.
Wave Wall Wax
Every Saturday from May 24 to August 30, the Ferrara Candy Wave Wall Stage hosts Wave Wall Wax, a free DJ series spotlighting Chicago’s best house and dance music talent. Experience the city’s legendary nightlife energy in a family-friendly, open-air setting-perfect for fans of Chicago summer events and outdoor music festivals.
Skyline Sessions
On Thursday and Friday evenings (May 29–August 29), Skyline Sessions brings a diverse lineup of solo artists and ensembles to the Wave Wall Stage. Guests can unwind with live performances from acts like Partywatcher, Lydia Cash, Fuego de Cumbia, and more, all while taking in stunning skyline views.
Trivia on the Lake!
New for 2025, Navy Pier introduces a summer-long trivia competition in partnership with Whaddyaknow? Free Pub Trivia. Every Thursday evening (May 22–August 28), test your knowledge at the Beer Garden and compete for a grand prize-ideal for those seeking unique summer activities in Chicago.
Chicago Shakespeare Theater
From May 24 to August 18, the renowned Chicago Shakespeare Theater presents four innovative productions, including the North American premiere of "42 Balloons," the acrobatic spectacle "Circus Abyssinia: Ethiopian Dreams," the world premiere of "Billie Jean," and a lively adaptation of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." Summer Fireworks

This year, Navy Pier partners with Ferrara Candy Company to present the Ferrara Candy Wave Wall Stage, hosting a variety of signature events.
