For the third consecutive year, Navy Pier has dazzled its way to the top, earning the coveted title of “Best Place to See Fireworks” in the 2025 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. This latest accolade cements Navy Pier’s reputation as Chicago’s premier destination for spectacular summer sky shows, following back-to-back wins in 2023 and 2024.
The annual contest, organized by USA TODAY’s 10Best.com, relies on a panel of travel experts and public voting to determine the nation’s favorite attractions. Navy Pier’s continued dominance in the fireworks category reflects its enduring popularity among both locals and visitors.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized once again as the nation’s top spot for fireworks,” said Marilynn Gardner, President and CEO of Navy Pier. “This award is a tribute to the magic our summer fireworks bring to Chicagoans and tourists alike. We’re grateful to everyone who supports us and look forward to creating more unforgettable memories under the stars.”
The much-anticipated free Summer Fireworks series returns to Navy Pier from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Visitors can catch the dazzling displays every Wednesday at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 p.m., with each show choreographed to an energetic mix of popular tunes and special occasion soundtracks.
The fireworks are produced in partnership with Pyrotecnico, a family-owned company with roots dating back to 1889. “It’s a privilege to help make Navy Pier’s fireworks a highlight of the Chicago summer,” said Stephen Vitale, President & CEO of Pyrotecnico. “Our passion is bringing people together, and we’re thrilled to continue this tradition with Navy Pier.”
Navy Pier’s ongoing success in the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards is a testament to its place in the hearts of Chicagoans and visitors from around the world. The 10Best.com platform is known for its expert-driven recommendations and trusted travel content, making this recognition especially meaningful.
As summer kicks off, Navy Pier invites everyone to experience the magic of its award-winning fireworks—a tradition that lights up the city and brings people together, one brilliant burst at a time.
