Playboy magazine is back in print! Would Hefner approve?

I know this new Playboy print magazine has been very hotly anticipated. And I can understand why. When most fans had given up hope of ever seeing another Playboy magazine in print, up pops the Feb. 2025 issue after a five-year hiatus. This major decision to return to print was announced by the Playboy board on Jan. 23, 2025. (Thank YOU!)

I just received my 128-page copy for $19.95 and I LOVE it! As a matter of fact, it might be the most tasteful issue I’ve ever seen. Sexy, but conservative photos with gorgeous women. Sadly, no jokes or cartoons but I can live without those. There's even an interview pulled from the archives with President Trump from 1990. 

Steve Harvey’s daughter, 28-year-old Lori Harvey, makes a striking cover girl. Her feature is beautifully shot by Greg Swales and is elegant, yet super sexy too. I’m sure her parents would approve. The mag described her feature as "inspired by the sophistication and allure of Playboy’s iconic past." Comedian/actress Nikki Glaser (who just hosted the Oscars) is the interview subject.

As a Playboy Playmate and cover girl myself, I have a unique perspective on what’s happened in the past in the magazine. I’ve always been a fan, but not of all the pictorials. Lori Harvey has “it” as does the new Playmate of the Year.

PMOY Gillian Nation, a 27-year-old from Montana, is no stranger to the limelight. She’s a former Guess model with billboards in Time Square and her Insta is loaded with beautiful photos of a life lived in front of the camera. Her layout and centerfold (which unfolds to 4 pages instead of the typical 2 and can be used as a wall poster!) was shot by Arnie Watkins.

Gillian made her debut as PMOY 2025 at Playboy's Big Game Weekend party in New Orleans. She arrived in a one-of-a-kind $10 million diamond-studded Playboy Bunny Costume® designed and handcrafted by Kali Hawk, founder and creative director of H.CROWNE. Gillian then changed into a dress modeled after Monique St. Pierre from PLAYBOY’s June 1979 magazine cover who was also the Playmate of the Year that year!

I don’t know who the other contenders were, but I think they picked the right woman. She’s beautiful in a natural way. Curvy, not a stick thin model, just what Hef always liked. I spoke to Marston Hefner, but he hasn’t seen the issue yet. He said he would send me his thoughts. If he’s anything like his dad, I think he will approve as well.
