Ravinia Festival will host three major fundraising events in 2023: Music Matters, Magic of Music Golf Outing, and the Gala Benefit Evening. Each event is hosted by one of Ravinia’s major leadership boards to support the festival and its Reach Teach Play music education programs, which serve more than 75,000 people in Cook and Lake Counties and ensure that music remains accessible to all.

This annual event, organized by Ravinia’s trustees, has become one of Ravinia Festival’s signature fundraisers over the past 25 years, bringing together sponsors and golf enthusiasts for a fun-filled outing. The 2023 Magic of Music Golf Benefit, hosted at Lake Shore Country Club, includes a classic golf experience across a championship 18-hole course and is bookended by a luncheon and a cocktail reception featuring music by Reach Teach Play’s Jazz Scholars. All funds raised at the event benefit Ravinia’s music education programs. Tickets for the entire event are part of various levels of sponsorship. Cocktail reception tickets are $195. ABOUT RAVINIA
Ravinia believes in the power of shared, live-music moments to inspire ourselves and the world. Beyond presenting outstanding performances by the world’s greatest musicians, the not-for-profit’s mission to develop broader, more diverse audiences and performers in the music industry can be seen through its community engagement and education programs like Reach Teach Play and the Steans Music Institute. Together, Ravinia’s initiatives serve tens of thousands of students, families, and young professional musicians. The 36-acre park is home to North America’s longest-running outdoor music festival and its most artistically diverse. Over 100 different events featuring a mix of classical, rock, pop, jazz, R&B, indie, and country performers make up a typical summer season across two open-air and two indoor stages, including the annual residence of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Guests can bring their own picnics, including food and liquor.
The festival is located about 20 miles north of Chicago at Green Bay and Lake Cook Roads in Highland Park. Onsite parking is limited, and the festival operates a free park-and-ride shuttle bus service to nearby lots along the train line. Visit Ravinia.org for the most up-to-date programming and protocols. Tickets go on sale to the public on May 1.
