After a hiatus of five years, Mick Jagger is set to grace a Chicago stage once again. The Rolling Stones have unveiled plans for an extensive 16-city North American tour in 2024, and Chicago is on their list. The legendary band is scheduled to perform at Soldier Field on June 27, 2024.

This anticipated tour aligns with the release of the Rolling Stones' latest album, "Hackney Diamonds," marking their first studio album with new material since 2005. The iconic band, known for timeless hits like "Start Me Up" and "Satisfaction," assures fans that the concert will feature a mix of their greatest hits and tracks from the recently released album.

Ticket sales for the Chicago concert will begin on December 1 at 10 a.m., giving fans an opportunity to secure their spots for what promises to be an unforgettable night of rock and roll. The Stones have a longstanding connection with the Windy City, tracing back almost 60 years. Their inaugural U.S. recording session occurred at Chicago's historic Chess Records in 1964, followed by a performance at the Arie Crown Theater a few months later.

Since then, the Rolling Stones have been frequent visitors to Chicago, leaving an indelible mark on the city's music scene. From their electrifying show at the International Amphitheatre in 1972 to entertaining massive crowds of 60,000 at Soldier Field in 2019, the band has consistently rocked various venues across Chicago.

According to the 16-city tour announcement, fans can can expect "to experience Mick, Keith and Ronnie play their most popular hits ranging from 'Start Me Up,' 'Gimme Shelter,' 'Jumpin’ Jack Flash,' 'Satisfaction' and more, as well as fan favorite deep cuts and music from their new album HACKNEY DIAMONDS."

In an interesting development, AARP has taken on the role of the sponsor for the "Stones Tour '24 Hackney Diamonds," adding an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming concert and perhaps acknowledging the age group of the fans. The anticipation for Mick Jagger and company's return to the Chicago stage is palpable, promising a night of music that spans decades of iconic rock history.
