When Cortez Smithbest‑known as Nuck on The Chi, chaired The Curio’s third annual Fashion’s Night Out atop ROOF on theWIT, the vibe was pure high‑fashion sizzle meets sustainability spark. What started as a live model cocktail installation soon transformed into one of Chicago’s most stylish evenings of the summer.

Models from 10 MGMT brought runway energy to each designer tableau, spotlighting five local sustainable stars: All We Remember, ANNNABO, drippedinINC, Oath Tech and Presley Baldwin, who staged 90-minute vignettes across the rooftop.

The roof was filled with Chicago fashion experts: executive leaders like Nicole Ruiz (Executive Director, AIBI), John Rogers (Costume Council board), David Sanchez (founder of 10 MGMT), Sally Schwartz (Randolph Street Market), plus designers Leen Gundogdu, Sheila Rashid, Tania Mackey, Stephane St. Jaymes, Anna Brown, Rich Garner, Corey Williams and Jaime Hayes (Production Mode), alongside standout content creators Meiling Lin, Khrystyna Polek, Tia Bat and Hakeem Moulton (The Bachelorette).

During cocktail hour, guests were served signature drinks crafted by Tequila 1349 (creamy reposado sours and smoky barrel spirits balanced with fresh citrus and sage). The beats by DJ Andrew Emil pulsed through the crowd as attendees lingered at each pop‑up tableau, snapping selfies and sketching outlines via on‑site artist Michelle Lee.

Before departing through ROOF’s neon-tinged stairwell, each guest received a limited-edition “Chicago Fashion” WIXS on Northwood soy‑candle, a perfect little perfumed souvenir to relight the energy of a city and its creative heartbeat.
