Chicago’s Streeterville community is getting a fresh taste of fall as SOAR, the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents, hosts its Farm to Table to Pier Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 1, at Harry Caray’s Navy Pier.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, appetizers and live entertainment by Dr. Bombay, followed by a seated Farm-to-Table dinner showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients from vendors at the SOAR Farmers Market.

The Farm to Table to Pier Celebration also serves as a fundraiser for SOAR’s community programs, which advocate for Streeterville residents, businesses and guests. SOAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and advocating for the neighborhood and those who live, work and enjoy it. Its work includes community engagement, neighborhood safety, sustainable practices, responsible development and philanthropic efforts. SOAR also operates the popular weekly Farmers Market at the Museum of Contemporary Art Plaza, connecting the neighborhood with local vendors and fresh produce.

The evening also will feature unique raffle prizes, adding another element of fun to the gathering and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow members of the Streeterville community.

Serving as honorary chairs are Lee Golub, managing principal of Golub & Co., and Grant DePorter, president and owner of Harry Caray’s Restaurant Group. Candace Jordan (moi), associate publisher of Chicago Star Media, is the featured guest.

Individual tickets are $175 for SOAR members and $200 for non-members. A booth for six is $1,500, while tables for eight are $2,000.
