Fashion enthusiasts and history aficionados are invited to an exclusive live recording of the acclaimed podcast Dressed: The History of Fashion at the Chicago History Museum on Tuesday, June 10. Hosted by fashion historian Cassidy Zachary, the event will feature a conversation with Jessica Pushor, the museum's Costume Collection Manager, delving into the stories behind the garments showcased in the exhibition Dressed in History: A Costume Collection Retrospective.

Dressed: The History of Fashion
The evening will commence at 5:30 PM with the Costume Council's annual meeting, exclusive to members. The live podcast recording will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by a reception at 7:30 PM offering drinks and light bites. Tickets are priced at $80 for general admission and $60 for Costume Council members.
Dressed: The History of Fashion, lauded by Vogue as "the golden standard in fashion podcasting," boasts over 20 million downloads and more than 500 episodes across seven seasons. The podcast explores the rich and complex histories behind the clothes we wear, featuring notable guests such as model Pat Cleveland, TV personality Tim Gunn, and Pulitzer Prize-winning fashion journalist Robin Givhan.
The accompanying exhibition, Dressed in History: A Costume Collection Retrospective, presents 70 rarely seen objects from the museum's extensive costume collection, including a 1949 Christian Dior evening dress and a 2023 Off-White x Chicago Bulls varsity jacket. The exhibition highlights how clothing captures material, social, and cultural values throughout history.
