Small but mighty, Dixon is a spunky young dog that would love to be your new best friend! He is a silly boy and a lap dog at heart; however, it does take Dixon some time to build trust with new people. Ever the ladies’ man, Dixon tends to be more confident around women than men and may need slow introductions to any men he may meet. Dixon also is a great playmate for other dogs around his size and is content playing or just napping with any new dog friends he makes. Does Dixon sound like he could be your new perfect companion? He could be if you live in a quiet neighborhood and have the patience to help him build his confidence. (Dixon is a 14 lb., three-year-old, small mixed breed dog available now at PAWS Chicago’s Lincoln Park Adoption Center, 1997 N. Clybourn, 773.521.7297)
PAWS Chicago is the largest No Kill animal shelter in the Midwest. Since its founding in 1998, the killing of pets in Chicago has declined by more than 91%. (pawschicago.org)
