Chance the Rapper partnered with Raising Cane's for a bike and helmet giveaway that put smiles on over 100 kids' faces for the holidays.
Chance the Rapper, Raising Cane’s and Washington Park Chamber of Commerce joined forces once again to turn up holiday cheer! On Dec. 15, from noon to 1 p.m., Raising Cane’s, located at 6401 95th Street in Chicago Ridge, welcomed Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper as he partnered with the fast-food (chicken finger) brand to donate 100 branded children’s bikes and helmets to SocialWorks, the nonprofit Chance created in 2016 to empower local youth through arts, education and civic engagement, with another 100 being donated to the organization for future use.

Having grown up in Chicago, supporting youth in the area is close to Chance’s heart, especially during the holiday season. Beyond his music accolades, which includes being the first artist to win a Grammy for his streaming-only album “Coloring Book” (2016), Chance is deeply committed to uplifting his community through SocialWorks. Last year, “Santa Chance” rolled into the Riverside Raising Cane’s Restaurant to gift 100 bikes and helmets to SocialWorks kids, turning a December afternoon into pure magic. This year, Chance and Cane’s linked up once again, bringing even more merry moments to Chicagoans this holiday season.

Now in its sixth consecutive year, Raising Cane’s brought holiday cheer on two wheels, teaming up with youth organizations and special guests like Chance to surprise kids with brand new bikes and helmets. The tradition began when Raising Cane’s owner and founder Todd Graves wanted to share the same joy he felt getting a bike on Christmas morning. After gifting a total of 2,500 bikes last year, Cane’s is kicking it up a gear with more than 4,000 bikes and helmets rolling out nationwide this season. ONE LOVE!
