This year, Christkindlmarket will be spreading joy and celebrating its 27th season downtown, at Daley Plaza. Christkindlmarket also opens for its 5th season at Gallagher Way in Wrigleyville (right next to Wrigley Field), and for the second year running, Christkindlmarket will also visit the suburbs, kicking off Season’s Greetings at Aurora's RiverEdge Park.
These enchanting open-air holiday markets are a timeless celebration of German traditions. Wander past stalls of international and local vendors, each brimming with handcrafted ornaments, toys, and unique holiday treasures. You will smell the delightful scents of traditional bratwursts, sauerkraut and other German foods. Discover time-honored sweets and the smell of festive beverages wafting through the air, offering a culinary journey for your senses.
But it's not just about shopping and indulging your taste buds, the Christkindlmarket is a tapestry of cultural richness. Throughout its run, you'll find special events, live entertainment, and activities that promise holiday fun for the entire family.
