NASCAR weekend events

NASCAR weekend is just days away and Chicago has plenty of free and affordable events planned for everybody to enjoy. Check out these NASCAR themed events happening in the lead up to the race:

NASCAR Night at Navy Pier - June 27 | 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Navy Pier will host NASCAR Night on Tuesday, June 27, offering photo ops with NASCAR vehicles, exclusive NASCAR merchandise, and a livestream of the eNASCAR IRacing Series featuring special guest Matt Bussa. Guests can also virtually tour the street course using the official NASCAR iRacing simulators. Navy Pier’s NASCAR Night is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

Leading from the Front: A conversation with the women of NASCAR’s Chicago Street Race Weekend - 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 27, Women in Sports and Events (WISE), in partnership with NASCAR, will host the panel discussion Leading from the Front: A Conversation with the Women of NASCAR's Chicago Street Race Weekend. The forum will give attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the event and the chance to engage with the women making the NASCAR street race possible. The event will be held at the Chicago Athletic Association, 12 S. Michigan Avenue, floor 8. Registration is required and space is limited. 

Bubba’s Block Party - June 28 | 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Bubba’s Block Party at the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center is a community-driven festival that aims to support Chicago’s communities of color. The family-friendly event will feature local black-owned food vendors, live music, and NASCAR-themed games and activities.  

NASCAR Night at Wrigley Field - June 29 | 7:05 p.m.

Before the race, come out for a fun night at Wrigley Field’s NASCAR Night! Guests can enjoy exciting NASCAR activations, music, and appearances from participating NASCAR Drivers. The event will also feature a special NASCAR Day ticket offer, which includes a ticket to the upcoming Cubs-Phillies game and a special-edition NASCAR-themed bobblehead.

Ricky Stenhouse Junior at Mariano’s - July 30 | 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Participating NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will stop by the Streeterville Marianos on Friday June 30, to meet with fans. The event will also feature vendors and local food specialities prepared by Marianos.  

NASCAR Village at Butler Field - July 1 - 2 

Beginning at the start of NASCAR weekend, the NASCAR village will open at Butler Field, adjacent to the Street Race grounds. NASCAR Village is a free experience that will feature concessions, NASCAR merchandise, local vendors, art displays, and educational information. NASCAR Village will be open throughout the weekend, from 9 a.m. to the start of the race each day. 

Super Mario Bros movie night at Trebes Park - June 30 | 8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. 

Kick off NASCAR weekend with a movie under the stars at Trebes Park. Brought to you by the Sheffield Neighbors Association, guests can enjoy a free showing of the new Super Mario Bros movie.
