Navy Pier has revealed plans for the first-ever Lakefront Games, taking place from Saturday, September 7, through Sunday, September 8.

The free event will bring a full weekend of family-friendly fun to Navy Pier in the largest competitive gaming activation the city has ever seen. Attendees will engage in various games of strength and strategy, including an inflatable obstacle course, axe throwing, bull riding, golf putting, and much more.

“I don’t suspect Daniel Burnham could have imagined the ‘competitive socializing’ craze when he drafted his 1909 Plan for Chicago,” said Marisa Diaz-Arce, Director of Brand Activations, Tenant Partnerships & Engagement for Navy Pier.

“But this event is definitely a modern-day nod to the architect’s vision of Navy Pier as a public space on the lakefront for active recreation and social interaction.’”
