Chicago’s farmers market season is blooming with community energy, local flavor, and fresh produce as neighborhood markets prepare to open across the city. From long-standing traditions to creative new vendors, here's a roundup of the markets bringing life to our streets this spring and summer.

Wicker Park Farmers Market

The Wicker Park Farmers Market returns for its 26th anniversary on Sunday, May 3, with an Opening Day treat by Chicago Tomato Man, who will be present to give tips on planting healthier and more productive tomatoes. Located at 1425 N. Damen Ave, the market will run Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Oct. 25.

With 60+ local vendors, the market offers everything from fresh produce and wild-caught seafood to handmade crafts and baked goods. Regular programming, themed events, and family-friendly activities will continue throughout the season.

Andersonville Farmers Market

The Andersonville Farmers Market (AFM) opens Wednesday, May 13, and runs Wednesdays from 3–7 p.m. through Oct. 21 on the 1500 block of Winona. With 50+ vendors, including newcomers like 24 Karat Bakery, Cammie Bakes, and Au Levain Bakery and Cafe, the market will feature weekly entertainment, cooking demos, and children’s activities.

AFM will continue its popular Link matching program, helping make farm-fresh food more accessible. Pop-up vendors like Banter Marketplace and Crumb What May will rotate in throughout the season.

Logan Square Farmers Market

Opening Mother’s Day, May 10, the Logan Square Farmers Market returns to 2620 N. Milwaukee Ave. The market runs Sundays and draws thousands each week.

The Logan Square market has held the title of Chicago Reader’s Best Farmers Market seven years in a row and recently wrapped a successful indoor season.

The market's Vendor Spotlight page features Mushyface Cookie Co., Sfera Sicilian Street Food and Kikwetu Coffee.

Lincoln Square Farmers Market

The Lincoln Square Farmers Market kicks off Tuesday, May 5 at 2301 W. Leland Avenue. The market runs Tuesdays (7 a.m.–noon) through Nov. 17 and Thursdays (3–7 p.m.) through November.

This season brings back favorites like Los Rodriguez Farm, Global Gardens Chicago, and Au Levain Chicago, with even more to come.
