Millennium Park is turning 20 and the City of Chicago is celebrating with a 4-day anniversary festival.

The weekend-long festival kicks off Thursday with a performance by Columbian music group Fruko y Sus Tesos. The weekend will include performances from Grammy-winning artist Common, the Grant Park Orchestra, House music legend Steve “Silk” Hurley, and more.

Since its inception in 2004, Millennium Park has become one of the top tourist destinations in the US, according to DCASE. The park has served as a public gathering place for visitors and residents alike, where Chicagoans can come together to enjoy art, culture, and nature in the heart of downtown.

“From Colombia’s Fruko y Sus Tesos to the cinematic music of John Williams, and from Chicago’s own Steve “Silk” Hurley to South Side native Common, I look forward to celebrating the Park’s 20th anniversary with dozens of artists and free cultural events this week. Happy 20th Birthday, Millennium Park!”
