As the 2023 Chicago Marathon comes to a close, it’s time to start getting ready for the next big race. 5ks, 10ks and fun runs, the city has it all! Check out these upcoming races in Chicago happening this fall.
Rosehill Cemetery Crypt 5K
The 11th annual 5k takes place on the grounds of the largest cemetery in Chicago, Rosehill Cemetery. Running or walking, participants follow the course through the famous spirits that reside, such as 10 Chicago mayors, Cubs announcer Jack Brickhouse, Oscar Mayer and more. In addition to the walk, a post-run/walk party will be held.

DC Wonder Woman Run - Chicago
The DC Wonder Woman Run offers a beautiful path through Lincoln Park. With 5k or 10k courses, wear your best Wonder Woman costumes for a chance to win various prizes. Post-race, celebrate crossing the finish line with food, refreshments, games and more.

Halloween Hot Cocoa & Treats 5K Run/Walk
Grab your favorite spooky costume and run or walk this 5k. With an additional kids race, runners in training can run 80 yards to the finish line, where they will hunt for candy in a haystack. At the end of the race, enjoy some family fun with candy and hot cocoa.

Race of the Dead
Among the lively streets of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, runners and walkers can come together and celebrate Día de los Muertos in a way they haven’t before. Dress up in costume and enjoy the post-run entertainment and food.

Will Run for Beer Chicago 5K
The 1st Annual Will Run for Beer Chicago 5k is debuting in Lincoln Park. This 5k course will give you beautiful views of the Chicago lakefront and skyline. Once you cross the finish line, celebrate with a complimentary beer (21+) from Begyle Brewing, alongside some delicious food and beer swag.

Turkey Trot
